Department Of English

Introduction to Department :

Department of English was established in the academic session 1998-99. It indulges in teaching English language to the students of all streams and English Literature for the students of Arts Faculty. The department also runs certificate course in ‘Communicative English’ for the students of Arts Faculty to develop communication skill. Department also has state of the art Language Laboratory to make learning more efficient and friendly.
The department has consistently striven to provide quality teaching to the students who are admitted to the college from adjoining areas and nearby villages. In terms of resources and infrastructure too, the department has audio-visual equipments at its disposal.
Communicative English course is one of the finest courses that started in the college with the basic aim to make students more familiar with English language and to make them able to communicate in it. The course is being run for the students who are very much keen to improve their communication skill. They are trained in English language which runs parallel to their syllabus that acts as supportive to learn the language.
